LED Diagram Indicators
Reproduction diagram wedge indicators.
Introduction
These LED indicators are intended to replace the incandescent “Mazda” or “GPO” style wedge lamps used in signalbox diagrams. Total length including LED is around 45 mm, diameter is 6 mm. They are offered in two versions:
- Built-in resistor. A resistor up to 1/2W power can be installed inside the plastic body. This handles the voltage drop for the LED and also allows the brightness to be adjusted to a suitable value. We are currently trialling some different resistor values with first users and can then recommend appropriate values for matching typical authentic lamps.
- No resistor. This is a solid plastic body which just takes an LED. You must either use LEDs with a suitable internal resistor, or add the resistor to the wiring of the socket or elsewhere in the circuit.
