Welcome to openSignalBox

The openSignalBox project exists to provide free, open-source designs for software and hardware to simulate railway signalling. This can range from traditional mechanical systems up to state-of-the-art computer-based systems, depending on what has been contributed to the project. New Website Launch

Over the last couple of years whilst openSignalBox was still being defined, the project had limited public presence in order to manage expectations and not disappoint in case things didn’t work out as planned. However, in recent months there has been much progress on the software framework and the core development team has expanded. This means we are confident that we will deliver a public release in 2025 and therefore are happy to advertise the project and create this website to share updates.
